The whole delegation supports the prevention of Covid-19 epidemic more than VND 181 billion

Before the 4th Covid-19 outbreak, the whole delegation quickly adapted and effectively implemented the prevention and control of epidemics. The total value of activities to support and help children and people at the 4th outbreak is more than VND 181 billion.

Many innovative and effective models in resource advocacy

The delegations mobilized the mass media to convey to the community quickly and effectively about the epidemic situation. From online media such as newspapers, social networks to traditional propaganda media such as fixed radio speakers, portable towing speaker systems ... all are used by trade unionists and youths as means of propaganda.

Prominently, the Central Delegation cooperated with Vinaphone to organize the Thank you Vietnam Media Campaign! Covid-19, in which, with the purpose of thanking the medical team, doctors on the front line against epidemics, news routes and minigames "Let's say thank you to the medical team, anti-epidemic doctors" has attracted millions of interactions and more than 7,000 shares on social networks.

In particular, all levels of the Delegation have focused on joining hands with the authorities and the health sector in the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic; mobilize trade unionists, youths, agencies, organizations and benefactors to donate material and spiritual support for epidemic prevention and control.

The program "Sharing love, joining hands to overcome the pandemic" was implemented with a total resource value of more than VND 10.6 billion; the program "Million Meals 2021" was implemented with a total resource value of more than VND 4.4 billion.

The program "Sing for Life, Sing for Love - Sing for Love" is implemented in the form of organizing online art programs, arouse a positive lifestyle, mobilize resources together to overcome the pandemic. The first number of the program was mobilized 315 million VND.

"Color Festival" 2021 - a children's painting contest with the theme "Trusting Vietnam" has created a useful playground for children during their stay at home due to the epidemic. As of July 30, the Organizing Committee has received 56,022 tests from children in 63 provinces and cities. Each picture sent by the team, teenagers and children to the Program will contribute VND 2,000 to the Government's Covid Prevention and Control Vaccine Fund.

The Summer 2021 Volunteer Youth Campaign was implemented in a practical, meaningful and appropriate way by all levels of the Delegation in accordance with the conditions for disease prevention and control. With the spirit of "3T" (Pioneering - Supporting - Adapting), by August 1, 2021 (after 9 weeks of implementation), the campaign has established 28,393 volunteer formations to support concentrated isolation areas, 41,950 formations of direct support, coordination and temperature measurement, supporting medical declaration for people; 160,163 propaganda squads for people on Covid-19 prevention. The total number of trade union members and youths participating in epidemic prevention and control activities is 1,592,714 trade unionists and youths.

In the context of more complicated epidemics, many provinces and cities have applied the distance under Directive 15, Directive 16, under the direction of the Central Delegation, 19 provinces and cities have established 43 volunteer formations to support 43 traffic checkpoints on National Highway 1A to localities. The formations are on duty 24/24h at the latches and there is the allocation of forces in shifts to ensure regularity and continuous in the implementation of volunteer squad activities. The total value of resources mobilized and deployed to support forces at traffic checkpoints for goods circulation is more than VND 01 billion.

In addition, the Central Committee of the Delegation implemented free volunteer insurance support activities for volunteer youth teams directly participating in volunteer work across the country.

Accompany, take care of and support children

In caring for and supporting children affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, the Delegation has implemented solutions, namely: organizing the program "Million glasses of milk and The Journey of books"; The program "Sharing with children, joining hands to overcome the pandemic"; visiting and giving gifts; supporting necessities for disadvantaged children affected by the Covid-19 epidemic totaling nearly VND 3.3 billion; supporting ventilators with medical equipment for frontline hospitals to treat children affected by Covid-19 worth VND 2.4 billion.

On August 1, 2021, the Central Delegation organized the Central Peak Day to support children affected by Covid-19 in Ho Chi Minh City with a total value of VND 460 million. At the festival, provinces and cities simultaneously organized activities to care for and support children with a total value of VND 73 billion.

In addition, responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Prime Minister, foreign trade unions and associations have actively mobilized Vietnamese trade unionists, youths and students abroad to support the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund, donate cash to localities in the epidemic area to buy food,  medical equipment to support the people.

Many other practical activities were carried out by the delegations to support children and people affected by epidemics and diseases such as: supporting the consumption of agricultural products of startup youth and farmers; The program "Connecting agricultural products - Sharing love - Joining hands to overcome the pandemic" supports farmers to harvest and consume agricultural products in the conditions of the Covid-19 epidemic; Up to now, the program has supported more than 10 tons of agricultural products for people in epidemic areas.
